Healthy Hydration

Water is essential to our lives

Water helps nearly every part of the human body function efficiently. Considering that our bodies are up to 60% water*, it is important to understand water’s role in healthy lifestyles.

Drinking enough water each day is crucial for many reasons: to deliver nutrients to cells, regulate body temperature, keep organs functioning properly, ensure joints are lubricated, prevent infections, and aid digestion. Water supports metabolic reactions such as the formation of urine (approximately 95 percent water), sweat (approximately 99 percent water), and blood plasma (about 92 percent water). Being well-hydrated also improves sleep quality, cognition, and mood. Health experts and nutritionists agree that drinking water is the best option for hydration.
